After Facebook, Instagram has started testing the new “Shopping feature” with select users globally. The “Shop” tab will replace the current ‘‘Activity” tab for those in the test. Tapping on the new icon will take users to the Instagram Shop section that was introduced back in May.
Products available in the “Shop tab” can be filtered by categories such as Home, Beauty, Travel, Clothing, and Accessories
Users will be able to access ”Activity” via an additional icon in the top right.
Any seller, irrespective of their business size or budget, can bring their business online & connect with customers wherever & whenever it’s convenient for them. The version of the Instagram Shop accessible from the navigation menu this time differs slightly from the previous version. Instagram had been testing today’s change with some portion of its U.S. user base.
Also, Facebook is working on the development of its payment platform “Facebook Pay”, which will make it easier for the users to make purchases in-app with one click.
